Digital Image Processing Laboratory

Motivation for a digital image processing laboratory arises mainly with an increase in the pictorial information available for human interpretation and image processing for automatic and autonomous machine control, Digital image processing lab is the use of computer algorithms to create, process, communicate and perform image processing on digital images. Digital image processing algorithms can be used to convert signals from an image sensor into digital images, improve clarity and remove noise. Effective techniques for processing digital images include using algorithms and tools that provide a comprehensive environment for data analysis, visualization and algorithm development. In particular, digital image processing lab is the only practical technology for classification, feature extraction, multi-scale signal analysis, pattern recognition and projection.

The laboratory uses the following software and devices
